(Chairperson of the Competition Jury)

คำถาม : What precisely was the reason that the Jury Chair refused to accept the Thai protest? Was it merely due to the passing of 5 minutes after the bout? Did the Thai delegation significantly delayed the protest ?
The protest was lodged 8 minutes after the end of the bout and therefore too late.
คำถาม : Does Aiba interpret Rule 9.11.1, regarding the 30-minute time allowed for protest, to be applicable to the protest in the final round ? If so did the Thai team lodge the protest beyond that period?
(9.11.1 A protest shall be submitted by the Team Leader or by the person having the highest position in the Team Delegation no later than 30 minutes after the completion of the Bout. Any protest shall be against the decision(s) of the Referee and/or Judges of the Bout.)
During Finals, the time in which you have to lodge a protest is 5 minutes, not 30 minutes.
Does Aiba interpret Rule 9.11.6, regarding the 5-minute time that a party 'should' notify its protest, to be the only applicable time limit in the final round ?
(9.11.6 A protest during the Finals of a competition should be notified within 5 minutes ofcompletion of the bout.)
See above.
คำถาม : Does Aiba interpret that these two rules are both applicable to the final round, and if so, what is the difference between the 5-minute time and the 30-minute time for protest, e.g. is there standard practice regarding "submitting protest" (with proper official documents and fees) and "notifying protest" (informally or verbally) and are there any other significant difference?
No, it is clear in our rules that delegations only have 5 minutes to protest the result of a bout during Finals.
